Dear Departmental/Institutional Contacts,

We hope you had a very productive summer! As the Autumn quarter is upon
us, we would like to remind you about MAC, our public lecture series. We
are starting our fourth year, already! Time really flies, and we know we
would not be here without your help in publicizing our talks to your
departments and institutions. Thank you very much for your continued
support!

This year, we have managed to secure yet again a great list of speakers,
starting with Margaret Wright from the Courant Institute, New York
University (Oct. 21), who will lecture on optimization; continuing with
our own David Baker from Biochemistry (Feb. 10); and ending on May 11 with
Don Saari from UC Irvine (Mathematics, Economics).

More information on the talks is available on our website,
http://www.math.washington.edu/mac, and we will keep updating it as
information becomes available to us.

In a couple of weeks, we will send you an announcement for Margaret
Wright's talk, which I am hoping that you'll be able to forward to your
departments on our behalf.

Until then, we wish you a great start to the 2011-2012 academic year!

Best regards,
The MAC Team (Rekha, Chris, Ioana)
