Prospect Research Manager

Reed College is currently seeking applications and nominations for the
position of prospect research manager. The college has just completed a $100
million campaign, raising $112 million over five years. The prospect
research manager joins an experienced team in the college relations office
responsible for building on this fundraising success. This position reports
to the director of development and will be responsible for developing
strategies for engaging prospective donors in support of development and
fundraising activities at the college, conducting proactive research of new
donors, and augmenting knowledge of existing donors. Other duties include
maintenance of an electronic prospect management system, reporting and
statistical analysis, and biographical reports.

The desired candidate will have the following characteristics: a bachelors
degree; significant and progressively responsible experience in prospect
research; knowledge of current best practice in the field of research;
excellent verbal and written communication skills; knowledge of integrated
administrative software, and an appreciation for the culture of a private
college of the liberal arts and sciences. Send resume and cover letter with
