I mentioned this at our recent meeting, but for those who weren't able to
attend:

Assistant Director of Research and Grants: Full time, exempt staff position
in the Office of Development.

Responsibilities include: acquire data and convert it into useful
intelligence about top development prospects; provide individual, corporate,
and foundation profiles; assimilate large amounts of information and
disseminate it in a succinct report to key staff members; develop and
implement effective standard operating procedures; lead process of assigning
prospect ratings of capacity for individual, corporate and foundation
donors; assist with website development and maintenance for University
Advancement; assist in the production and writing of grant proposals.

Required qualifications include: bachelor's degree; two to four years of
experience in a development research setting; solid knowledge of standard
search mechanisms; ability to evaluate new forms of research as they are
developed; familiarity with the principles of ethical intelligence gathering
techniques; strong to outstanding computer skills including MS Office, and
library research skills; strong writing skills; familiarity with proposal
writing techniques/requirements; experience in website development and
maintenance; must be systems-oriented, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and
productive with minimal supervision; knowledge of relational database
systems. Preferred qualifications include: master's degree; knowledge of
Raiser's Edge program and online resources. Position will remain open until
filled. Salary: $31,000-$37,000/yr
