Portland State University, an urban university located along the South Park Blocks of downtown Portland, OR, is seeking a contractor to perform prospect research services on a monthly basis.

Portland State University is seeking a contractor to perform prospect research services on a monthly basis.



The primary responsibility is to provide, on an ongoing basis, 10 to 15 individual prospect profiles per month, along with some foundation and corporate research.



Additional responsibilities include providing training for development staff and consulting on prospect management issues, as needed.



Proposals will be evaluated according to the following criteria:

a.. Demonstrated prospect research skills and in compiling, analyzing and synthesizing complex information from a variety of resources.
b.. Experience with prospect tracking systems.
c.. Familiarity with Pacific Northwest donor community
d.. Previous research experience working within a higher education institution, including OUS institutions or PSU.
e.. Professional references of contractor's ability to perform these services.
f.. Fees for services.


Terms of initial contract are approximately one year: Mid-January 2003 through December 31, 2003. The contract cannot exceed $50,000. PSU would have the option to renew the contract for up to two additional years.
