Growing Again: The State of the Economy in the Pacific Northwest

Encouraging news for anyone planning or launching a fundraising campaign: The Pacific Northwest is back in a growth mode, having been hit hard by the particular nature of the 2001 recession and its aftermath. Oregon and Washington are in the process of moving back towards the previous peaks in employment in a somewhat humbled fashion, after the heady boom of the late 1990s. John will give his expert viewpoint on prospects, risks and opportunities for the region.

10:30 - noon

Moderator: David Wu, Vice President of Development, Woodland Park Zoo

Lessons Learned from the Campaign Trail

And we don't mean the election campaign! Our panel of experts represents nonprofits large and small, with an impressive range of campaign experience among them. They've raised money in tough times, and boom times, and have lived to tell the tale. Come gain the benefit of their collective experience!
