PURPOSE: The Campaign Prospect Manager will play a key role as Seattle University embarks on its largest capital campaign fundraising endeavor. This position will assume a leadership role in developing and refining an innovative model for identification and qualification of Seattle University's major donor prospects, and participate in developing strategies to cultivate and solicit prospects in support of the campaign priorities and goals.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Organize, implement and lead a prospect management program including: prospect strategy meetings; peer screenings; routine reports on cultivation activity; development of solicitation strategies and effective use of the database system. Identify prospects for major and planned gifts through the implementation of a proactive prospecting plan. Develop programs to significantly enlarge and manage the campaign prospect pool. Insure a steady stream of new prospects as well as overseeing the movement of identified prospects through the various stages leading to solicitation. Write briefings for prospect visits. Provide advice assistance and reports of major gift activity to the AVP of Development. Supervise Advancement research staff.

MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Performs other duties of a similar nature as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor degree in marketing, business, or related field and at least two years of experience in advancement research, fundraising or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. The ideal applicant will possess supervisory experience, strong attention to detail and accuracy, the ability to prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and multi-task. Must have strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Must possess an understanding of research methodology skills in order to interpret business and financial data. Must have experience with word processing, databases, presentations, and spreadsheet applications. Previous experience with The Raiser's Edge and wealth screening products is desirable.

SALARY: Hiring range of $50,000 to $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
