What: Virtual Seminar, Rating Systems and Scoring Methods for Gift
Capacity and Beyond

Presenters: Lawrence Henze, Managing Director, Blackbaud Analytics &
Elizabeth Crabtree, Director of Prospect Development, Brown University



Virtual Seminar Summary:
APRA International's Virtual Seminar series offers real-time
presentations by top research experts, broadcast over both Internet and
phone hook-ups to participating groups nationwide. A timely follow up to
the November virtual seminar on wealth indicators, this seminar will
explore rating systems and scoring methods to help nonprofit
organizations understand, identify and segment their constituent
databases. This session will discuss how wealth analysis, demographics,
psychographics, intrinsic relationships and historical patterns in
giving and volunteering can advance understanding of current levels of
activity and predict future behavior and potential. A demonstration of
suitable rating techniques, formulas and scoring methods for a variety
of purposes will be covered (see also presenter bios below).

Presenter Bios:

Lawrence C. Henze, J.D., managing director of Blackbaud Analytics, is
the founding partner of two prospect screening firms and an expert in
market research for nonprofits. Before beginning his 11-year consulting
career, he was a development officer for 13 years for three different
institutions.

Elizabeth Crabtree is the director of Prospect Development at Brown
University. Elizabeth has previously held positions with Northern
Illinois University, Benedictine University, College of DuPage, and the
Digital Schoolhouse Foundation. Elizabeth also has worked as a
consultant and has considerable experience outside the nonprofit arena.
She serves on APRA-International's Board of Directors.
