Job Summary
The Development Office at Central Washington University announces an
exciting opportunity for a development professional to work with the
Student Affairs and Enrollment Management (SAEM) division. Looking to
the future, CWU anticipates funding opportunities to support quality
student programs and has made a commitment to hire a dedicated
development officer for the SAEM division. This position will challenge
the right person with the opportunity to build and create a vital
development program.

The Development Officer will work with various members of the university
community to identify, cultivate, solicit, close and steward gifts on
behalf of the SAEM division. This is an opportunity to join a new
leadership team as it mobilizes the CWU community in advancing the
mission of our distinctive regional university. CWU has over 60,000
alumni and a modest but growing endowment. Challenges will be to secure
donations from a limited number of potential donors in a competitive
environment and to work with diverse groups of students, administrators,
and alumni. Strategic thinking skills, sound judgment, follow-through,
attention to detail, and the ability to work independently will prove
valuable assets for the successful candidate.
