The virtual seminar scheduled for June 21st, 2006 Discovering New Donors Through Data Mining and Statistical Analysis will be offered at two locations, one in Tacoma, WA and the other in Corvallis, Oregon.

Directions: From I-5, take exit 133, Interstate 705 north, City Center exit. Exit at Schuster Parkway. Continue for approximately one mile, and stay to the left. Exit to the left (Schuster Parkway), and follow Schuster along the water. Stay to the right and proceed approximately 1.5 miles. Exit right onto North 30th. Continue through the traffic signal in Old Town and up the hill. At the top of the hill, turn left at North Alder. Continue approximately one mile to North 15th. Turn right and proceed into campus. Go through the first stop sign and enter the parking circle reserved for our guests. You may park in the parking circle in front of Jones Hall, or in the lot just south of Wheelock Student Center. The Murray Board Room is located directly east of the main entrance to the Wheelock Student Center.

Directions to OSU Foundation:



· From Interstate 5, take the Highway 34 exit which reads "Corvallis/Oregon State University" (exit number 228). Go west on Highway 34 for about 10 miles to Corvallis.



· Stay in the LEFT LANE as you approach Corvallis, and follow the sign that says, "Philomath, Ocean Beaches," Highway 20.



· Turn RIGHT onto SW 35th Street (light).



· Go one block and cross Western Boulevard (light).



· Immediately after Western Avenue, turn LEFT into the OSU Foundation parking lot. There is no charge or permit required to park.



· The seminar will be held in the Board Room, to the left as you enter the lobby.

Parking lot in front of building does not require a permit and is free.

Real life strategies will demonstrate how you can develop queries, analyze large date sets, and create rating and segmentation systems. searching.

Presenter Biography:

Marianne Pelletier, CFRE, has been in the fundraising field since 1988, when she joined the research team at Harvard's University Development Office. She has served as a researcher for Harvard, Lesley University, and now for Carnegie Mellon University, where she is Director of Advancement Research. She was also Director of Annual Giving and Development Services for Southern New Hampshire University. Before joining Carnegie Mellon, Marianne worked with Datatel's clients on the Benefactor product. She has a bachelor's degree from Rockford College and an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University. Marianne is also an associate with the Helen Brown Group, providing the Group's data mining services.
