A colleague asked me to share the news of a new prospect research
position with you. You'll find all the information you need about this
position below.



POSITION TITLE: prospect researcher



POSITION DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the director of capital giving, the
prospect researcher supports Saint Martin's development efforts by
identifying, rating and tracking prospective donors (individuals and
organizations) to Saint Martin's University. Assists frontline fund
raisers in determining ask amounts and cultivation and solicitation
strategies for prospects. The prospect researcher organizes the
research function ensuring that research results and systems are
thorough and well organized.



This is a new position in a dynamic and growing development
operation, giving the successful candidate the opportunity of laying the
groundwork for the prospect research function.



QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree. Two or more years experience in
prospect research. Experience in a small college and with mainframe
databases preferred. Must be detail oriented and possess excellent
organizational and planning skills. Must be able to deal with
confidential data. Must be supportive of a Catholic, Benedictine
philosophy of education.



COMPENSATION: DOQ; exempt; excellent benefits, including tuition
remission.
