APRA-NW 2008 Board Nominations

It's that time of year when you have an opportunity to nominate a
colleague, yourself, or both to serve on the APRA-NW Board of Directors.
This is a wonderful way to give back to your profession, practice your
organizational and planning skills while having fun and building
relationships with great people in your field.

The APRA-NW Board of Directors is comprised of six members who serve a
two year term once elected.

APRA-NW is an all-volunteer membership organization and the great
programs that you have enjoyed to date are because of the dedicated work
of previous volunteers. So please take a few moments to think about
this great opportunity either for yourself or someone who you think
would be an ideal candidate for the positions listed below.

This year our nomination period runs from May 5th - May 30th, 2008.
Elections will be completed by June 23rd and the new officers will take
up their duties on July 1st, 2008.

This year we are seeking nominations for the following three positions:

President: Chairs all meetings, acts as a spokesperson for the
membership of the local chapter and sets the agenda for the board
meetings.

Mentorship Chair: Responsible for the Mentor program, which matches
volunteer mentors with members who want to be mentored.

Membership Director: Retains existing membership, works on outreach to
promote APRA-NW and to recruit new members, and responsible for
distribution of membership directory.

Nomination and voting will take place online this year. To make a
nomination use the following link: http://www.apra-nw.org/nomination.

With appreciation for your consideration,

Paula Siegel
Secretary (2007-2009)
