Research & Prospect Management Analyst

The OHSU Foundation currently has an opening for a Research and Prospect Management Analyst. Reporting to the Director of Research and Prospect Management, this individual partners with development staff in developing fund-raising strategies and provides critical research information to help move prospects through the fund-raising cycle. The position also manages the process for tracking prospects in the fund-raising database and provides training on the effective use of the system. The position plays a critical role in managing and analyzing development officers' prospect portfolios and distribution.

· Bachelor's degree
· 4+ years in a development research office or related experience
· Experience working in a relational database
· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word
· An inquisitive nature that uses deductive and intuitive reasoning
· Strong ethics and ability to keep confidences:must be able to handle confidential materials and situations with sensitivity and good judgment
· Demonstrated mastery in the collection, analysis, interpretation and evaluation of information
· Demonstrated understanding of development and major gifts fund raising and how research and prospect management supports development efforts
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Advanced research skills:Detailed knowledge and extensive use of on-line reference and information systems, libraries, data screening products and other reference materials and tools
· Mastery of all aspects of real property research and SEC data analysis
· Understanding of multiple screening strategies and methodologies, including data mining, segmentation and analytics
· Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
· Attention to detail

Preference may be given to candidates with the following:
· Experience with Raiser's Edge
· Bachelor's degree in a research-based discipline (i.e., Business, MLS or Information Technologies or a related field
· Experience in higher education or complex non-profit environment
