I have a floppy disk that doesn't work and I don't understand why

I get this problem when I try to mount a vfat floppy as e2fs. Try this
command instead:

mount -t vfat /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy

Or, put this line in /etc/fstab and do "mount /mnt/floppy":

/dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy vfat noauto,owner 0 0

Cheers!
