From harriske at uw.edu Tue Feb 6 16:02:14 2024 From: harriske at uw.edu (Kelley Harris) Date: Wed Mar 20 12:11:55 2024 Subject: [PopGenLunch] Seminar on ancestral recombination graph inference by Yun Deng, UC Berkeley Message-ID: Hi everyone, Next week, my lab will be hosting Yun Deng of UC Berkeley, a graduate student working jointly with Rasmus Nielsen and Yun Song, for an ad hoc popgen lunch seminar. Some of you might recall that Yun gave a virtual popgen lunch talk in 2020, and now we'll be lucky enough to have him here in person. He'll be talking about his work developing a method called SINGER for ancestral recombination graph inference. The talk will be at* 4 PM next Tuesday, February 13th in room S448 of Foege South*. If you don't have Foege card access and would like to attend, please reply to this email and we'll make sure someone is downstairs to meet you around 3:55. We'll also be streaming the talk on zoom at https://washington.zoom.us/j/92893389297. Hope to see you there, Kelley -- <><><><><> Kelley Harris (She/her) Associate Professor of Genome Sciences University of Washington -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Many of you no doubt remember Will DeWitt, who worked as a joint Ph.D. student with me and Erick Matsen and graduated from UW Genome Sciences in 2022. Will is now a McDonnell Foundation postdoctoral fellow at UC Berkeley, working with Yun Song, and next week he'll be back in Seattle to interview for a Genome Sciences faculty position! If you're available next Wednesday at 3:30, I'm sure he'd love a strong showing of popgenlunch support either in person or on zoom: Dr. William DeWitt | UC Berkeley ?Dynamics, prediction, and computation for evolutionary mechanisms in immune responses? flier | talk will be recorded | faculty candidate seminar Wednesday February 14 remote viewing option Foege Auditorium, S-060 All the best, Kelley -- <><><><><> Kelley Harris (She/her) Associate Professor of Genome Sciences University of Washington -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
