This listserv was established to continue the dialogue initiated by the 2007 Educational Conference Call Series on Institutional Review Boards and Ethical Issues in Research cosponsored by Community-Campus Partnerships for Health and the Tuskegee Bioethics Center. It is intended as a resource for posting questions and sharing information related to the ethical issues that arise in community-based participatory research (CBPR). For more information on CBPR and research ethics, visit http://depts.washington.edu/ccph/irbhome.html
Please note: if you use the listserv to ask a question or seek input, please indicate in your message that you will compile and post a summary of responses so everyone will benefit from the info gathered. If you use the listserv to conduct a survey or solicit participants in a study, please indicate (a) whether it has been reviewed & approved by an Institutional Review Board or other ethics review mechanism to protect human participants and if not, why not (either in the email itself or on the first page of the survey) and (b) that the findings/results will be shared on the listserv so everyone can benefit from the information gathered.
